In lieu of an alternative, the incumbent may be again elected for a further seven year term. But it is preferred that a new person is elected as the Pan-European Director at the end of each period in order to encourage a dynamic quality in the party. A previous incumbent may stand for election at a future time. The election is limited to the combined majority choice of the foremost leaderships of the party. But this choice may be challenged by party members if there is deemed just cause for concern. Any challenge must be lodged before 14 days have elapsed. |
